An object of daily use, a known form acquired by the collective memory, of which it bears the familiar aspect, the trace of a correlation. Mathilda is a modern project in the architectural sense, in the proportional relationship between the whole and the detail. The idea is simple, perfect for the function to which it is reserved: two trestles give solidity and belonging, they support the seat, lending themselves simultaneously as supports for the backrest and as a stackable support. The thoughtful and sober intuition brings the project back into the contemporary, into the possibility of evolving towards a coherent, functional and recognizable seating system.
Structure in ash or oak. Seat and back upholstered with fire retardant polyurethane foam in different densities. The version with "stuffed" backrest and
upholstered seat is available. Band armrest covers in leather or fabric. Mathilda is not removable.
